We already know that it is important to take care of our physical health; we are just learning that it is important to take care of our emotional health as well.
I am a Licensed Psychotherapist and have been in practice in Santa Monica for over 25 years.
I am dedicated to helping people through difficult situations and emotions. When feelings of anger, sadness, anxiety and depression are just too much, it’s time to get help. Having someone outside your circle of friends and family allows you to express your feelings much more freely.
My areas of specialization are:
- Love and Relationships
- Arts and Entertainment
- Couples Therapy
- Business Professionals
- Anxiety and Depression
- Addictions Recovery
Please read more about these areas by clicking on the links above.
My office is casual and comfortable. I am warm, informal and easy to talk to. When you first come to see me, we will talk about what you are going through, and I will ask some questions. We will look at your options, and set some preliminary goals to help you to feel more supported and focused. Everything you tell me is confidential.
My approach to therapy has been distilled over many years. I work in a way which includes emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. After I get to know you, the ways of working that suit you best will become clear to us. Your personal history is very important in therapy. Past situations, events, feelings, memories and their contexts have all contributed to who you are today. Gender, ethnicity, religion, and economics also affect your personal development and your daily life.
Having traveled and lived outside of the United States, I am familiar with other languages and cultures. Because of this international exposure, I have a greater understanding of how each individual’s cultural background influences his or her unique emotional needs and complexities. My work reflects this sensitivity.
My book can give you a clearer picture of what therapy is like. Click on the link below for more:
